Japan Bowl Bulgaria VI

For the sixth consecutive time Sofia Paper Art Fest hosted Japan Bowl Bulgaria – competition for juniors. The event attracted the enthusiasm and knowledge of dozens of new participants engaged in Japanese language and culture.

Four educational structures with 23 teams and 69 participants from Sofia and Ruse were represented. The event, which has now become a tradition, provided an opportunity for participants from 9th to 11th grade to present their educational institution. Each school nominated its best teams after a preliminary internal round to select the many interested to participate in Japan Bowl VI. The high level of preparation by the participants and the challenging questions made the event impressive and memorable. The competition was intense. The excitement and joy accompanied the award ceremony and the accompanying art event of pottery restoration with gold – “Kintsugi”, presented by Marta Dimitrova.

Organizers of the event are Amateras Foundation and Japanese Business Association for Eastern Europe. The event is held under the patronage of the Embassy of Japan in Bulgaria.
