Japanese Impressions
Amateras Collection
The fourth exhibition from the autumn panel of Sofia Paper Art Fest 2024 opened on October 10 at the Stara Zagora Art Gallery. The exhibition is a guest show at the invitation of the gallery and presents a selection of works shown in some of the exhibitions held in Sofia at the beginning of the Days of Japanese Culture in Bulgaria. The unifying title comprises 30 works from different fields of contemporary Japanese art: installations, sculptures, objects, panels, calligraphies, and ceramics. This is the first display of the Japanese section of the Amateras Collection in Southern Bulgaria. New works that entered the Paper Art Biennale are also included.
The exhibition has been specially curated for the space of Stara Zagora’s beautiful gallery. The curators hope to turn the project into a tradition that will delight viewers and guests of the city.
