Sofia Paper Art Fest 2022
For the 12th consecutive year the festival will present the world achievements in the paper art. Under the title “New Horizons” the event will be held between May 3 and November 30, 2022.
On May 3 at 6 p.m., the festival starts with the exhibition “Art Book”, part of the Paper Art Biennial. The exhibition is on view until June 6, 2022.
Ten exhibitions will present few sections of SPAF 2022: Paper Art Biennial; Amateras – Annual Exhibition/Competition for Paper Art; Exchange and Guest Exhibitions; as well as additional
online events.
The program includes related events: “Dynamics in the Arts” is a series of lectures, an essential educational platform in the field of the visual art; “The Role of the New Technologies for the Paper Art” is a discussion that aims to develop this branch of the contemporary art; Solo exhibitions by awarded artists; The different workshops for children, professionals and fans are opportunity for introduction to the techniques and the possible interpretations through the paper.
The event will be opened by Ms. Vesela Kondakova, Deputy Minister of Culture in Bulgaria.
