Without Borders
The fourth exhibition of Sofia Paper Art Fest 2024 programme in Finesse Gallery is a curated selection of works by foreign and Bulgarian artists participating in the Paper Art Biennial. This is not the first time that SPAF has organized exhibitions at Gallery FINESSE, a long-term partner of the AMATERAS Foundation. The name of the exhibition “Without Borders” carries the motto of the festival, symbolically summarizing the small-scale works.
With this current selection Finesse Gallery, a long-term partner of Amateras Foundation, presents installations, objects, sculptures and panels showing different trends in this art. The rich palette of creative ideas and messages enriches the notion of the possibilities of this material – the paper.
The Bulgarian participation is getting more prominent every year and this tendency is clearly visible in all exhibitions in 2024. An established artists who participate not for the first time are Daniela Todorova, Zdravka Kostadinova, Veselka Nikolova, Krasimira Drenska, and Mila Stoeva. At the same time there are many new artists who enrich the overall project such as Branko Nikolov, Ralitsa Mircheva, Violeta Apostolova, and Simona Vladimirova.
Among the foreign artists, the following make a strong impression: Floki Gauvry, Argentina; Angela Barbou, Brazil; Khrystyna Duvirak, Andrew Schneider, Maria Tymenik, and Natalka Shymin, Ukraine; Ismet Tatar, Inci Kansu, Eser Kececi and Kemal Caymaz, Cyprus; Renate Schweizer, Germany, Antonio Canau, Portugal; Jane Walker, UK and Beannie Kaman, USA.
