Paper Cosmos
Sofia/Huangshan/Wuhu
On September 16, the exhibition “Paper Cosmos” was opened at the Art Museum in the city of Wuhu, part of the Bulgarian-Chinese exchange project “Near and Far”.
The exhibition presented over 30 artists from both countries.
The works of the Bulgarian artists were created during a one-week creative residency in the city of Huangshan. They remain part of the permanent collection of the Wuhu Art Museum.
At the opening, an official speech was delivered by Mr. Vladislav Spasov, Consul of Bulgariain Shanghai, who emphasized the importance of the project and expressed confidence in future fruitful cooperation in the field of art and culture between Bulgaria and China. The event is a vivid example of the power of cultural exchange and of the new bridges that art builds between close and distant worlds.

The project “Near and Far” started in June during “Sofia Paper Art Fest” in Bulgaria, givingan initial impetus for future events in the program period for 2026 in both countries.
